Powderfall is an event that fuses top tier education, camaraderie, and an amazing resort experience. National Ski patrol members from across the country come to powderfall to enhance their education and build relationships with fellow patrollers from around the country. The event boasts over 20 high profile sponsors, including Patagonia, Black Diamond, and Yakima Racks, all of who participate in exhibit hall nights, demo events, and promotions. During the three day event, participants are able to enroll in classroom and on-hill sessions to help them improve their ski patrolling skills. Attendees also receive discounted lift tickets to any of Aspen Ski Co.’s 4 resorts, specialized rates at 4 hotels near the Aspen Snowmass base village, and two exhibit hall nights with partner giveaways and prizes. During the year prior to the event, I developed a brand and marketing plan that successfully doubled the size of the event and increased overall profitability.
